101 Zen Koans
Well, as for me Zen is not only a kind of Buddhism schools which is famous for its emphasis on practical wisdom. Mostly it’s an alternative way of thinking lays beyond the ordinary logic. As the Asians say: ‘A dao expressed in words is not a true dao’. So one can’t understand Zen logically as we used to. We can get a sense of it by means of studying particular stories called ‘koans’ or ‘koens’. So I found them very interesting. They really help me to look on the life from another point of view. Besides koans have effective therapeutic influence. I often use them as a hypnotic metaphors.
A. Protopopov
"The tractate about love or how it is understood by a weird wimp"
This interesting Russian etologist and biologist investigated in details the etology of libido, primacy, rang potential, inner group hierarchy. He also studies altruism, jealousy, conscience and ought.
Stephen M. Shapiro "Goal-free living"

S. Shapiro offers an alternative sight on the problems of goals achievement. He says that if we don’t understand the difference between goals and appetences we make ourselves unhappy. Well, I agree with him. On the one hand we speak about the challenge to a traditional ‘goal’ psychology: we can be more happy if we don’t make goals and plans in our life. But on the other hand I think this are different sides of a same thing, we just must understand properly the meaning of the word ‘goal’.
Richard Branson "Screw it, let's do it"

Richard Branson is not only a gifted businessman who made a unique brand 'Virgin' uniting several different fields of business such as music shops, aircraft companies, railway companies, radio and publishing house. He is a vivid personality into the bargain.
His book is a life action and risk manifest. His credo is to take all from the life. It means not to scare to do what you want and it doesn't matter whether you have enough knowledge, experience, education or not. He founds life to be too short to spend it on unpleasant things. If you smart enough and have the heart to move, any goal is achievable. If you like it - do it. If you don't - leave it and don't think of it.
As for me this is a good book about importance of emotional motivation. It helps understand this important idea much better.
