Adobe Photoshop CS
Ye Olde Adobe Photoshop is a really good stuff for many kinds of design and of course can be used as a main designer’s program. Here are several applications in my work where I use it.
Technical documentation editing
Well, some companies prefer to send copies of their documents in PDF-files. It’s because of their distrusting of the partners and they want to keep their copyrights in safety. It’s very inconvenient to work with technical documents in ‘shop’. For example, a standard A3 drawing translation in AutoCAD is three times longer than in ‘shop’. But nevertheless it’s an acceptable application for this design program.
Photography retouching
Yeah, of course it’s very suitable for the purposes of improving the photos and making them more expressive. You can change contrast, remove face defects, for example, or change the background.
Web-design
It works very good with Fireworks. When working on the file I can use both programs for it and sometimes it gives wow-results.
