Adobe Fireworks CS
Adobe Fireworks is a very nice program for design and web-design. In many cases it’s more useful than Photoshop for making up web-sites and many things can be done much more easily.
Glass Orb
Here I applied the following filters: inner and outer glows, linear gradient. I also changed shpere hues and saturation of the picture.
Pencil drawing from photos
This is the initial picture.
And that's how does it look after applying a number of filters to achieve a 'pencil' effect.
In this case I used inverting, sharpening, finding edges and of course gaussian blur filter. After consequential applying effects and filters I experimented with levels to make it more realistic.
Carbon Effect
You can make your own textures from the ready pictures. It's an example of a button with a 'carbon' texture on it.
